Bargebrug along the coach parking

print

This modern and eye-catching bridge is placed in the coachparking 'Kanaalkwartier' of Bruges, which was recently upgraded. It connects the Barge square with the entrance of the Minnewater.

The Barge square is the meeting place for tourists that come to Bruges by coach. These coaches can park there quietly and safe during the entire visit of the tourists. Now it is also accessible to people traveling in motorhome.

The bridge's architecture has an asymetrical style and is bright red. It gives a nice contrast with the place the Barge square is connected to, namely a beautiful, green, idyllic park. Depending on the path you choose, you will each time be in for a new surprise. Following the park straight on, through the King Albertpark, you end up standing in front of an other red piece of modern architecture, the Concertgebouw. Going through the park, direction centre, you wind up in the historical city centre. In short, visiting the city from this starting point is entering a new dimension each time you take another course. Dimensions, all brought together in a thorough and beautiful way.
